Thing #3 RSS Feeds
I have been working on this for quite some time and am frustrated. I thought I got an RSS Feed but when I go into Bloglines I am told that I haven't been confirmed and I need to "click here" so I can get a confirmation. I never get a confirmation. I do feel obliged to do number 3 correctly but I am ready to give up and go on to number 4. Maybe I will come back to number 3 or get some help from someone.

Your account is not confirmed? Did you receive the email from Bloglines at the email address that you used to subscribe (and that is your login)? You need to click on the link in that email to validate your account.
They'll send you another email if you didn't receive one. From their FAQ:
You can have Bloglines send you another validation email. Log into the web site. On the My Account page, you will be given the option to have another validation email sent to you. If you are not receiving validation emails, check to make sure that the email address you registered with Bloglines is correct.
